Privacy Policy
PauseTab is a Chrome extension that lets you snooze browser tabs and have them reopen automatically at a time you choose. This policy explains how PauseTab handles your data.
Data We Collect
PauseTab does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. No data ever leaves your device.
The extension stores your snoozed tab information (URL, title, and scheduled reopening time) locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data stays on your device and is used only to restore your tabs at the scheduled time.
Permissions
PauseTab requests the following Chrome permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose:
storage – saves your snoozed tabs and scheduled times locally between browser sessions.
tabs / activeTab – reads the URL and title of tabs you choose to snooze, and reopens them at the scheduled time.
alarms – triggers tab restoration at the time you selected, even if the browser has been restarted.
notifications – sends you an optional alert when a snoozed tab is reopened.
Third Parties
PauseTab does not use analytics, advertising, or any third-party services. No data is sold or shared with anyone.
No Guarantees
PauseTab is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. While we aim for reliable tab restoration, we cannot guarantee that all tabs will reopen under every circumstance (for example, if Chrome is not running at the scheduled time). Use the extension at your own discretion.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
